Pastor Barbara Kopperud
comes to La Crescent from the SE MN Synod of the ELCA, where she has served 3 parishes since 1988. Called to serve as lead pastor at Prince of Peace beginning Nov. 1, 2009, she is glad to join the ministry of a lively staff and congregation. Her husband, Jim Borden, is an artist with wood, and his studio is on the home place. Together they have raised a daughter, Irina, and a son, Alex, and share a love of music, travel, comedy, and community theater.

Pastor Mike Woods,
is married to Karen and together they enjoy their children, Matt and Cassidy. Mike spends his quality time family camping and hiking, his devotional time in listening prayer, and his playtime on the volleyball court. Mike has served Prince of Peace since December of 1999.

Herb and Angie Henning, Directors of Music,
Cathy Beardmore, Director of Growth Ministries,
has worked with children, youth, and families at Prince of Peace since the fall of 2004. She has been a long time member of the congregation and also serves as a teacher for our Peli Preschool. When not at the church she's enjoying time with her husband Gary and their two sons, often in river related activities.

Linnea Jackson, Parish Nurse, on Sabbatical thru July 2010
lives in La Crescent with her husband and two daughters. She received a four year degree as a registered nurse in 1981 and has worked in a variety of nursing areas with her main focus on long-term care, public health, and hospice. She is job sharing with Bev. pt
Bev Nelson, Parish Nurse,our other parish nurse, job sharing with Linnea. Bev has been a registered nurse since 1988 when she began her second career. Her nursing background includes gastroenterology clinic and manager of a telephone nurse advice line. She was widowed in 2005 and has no children.
She enjoys fellowship with others, often cooking for them, and travel.

Michelle Tetzlaff, Office Manager,became a staff member at Prince of Peace in January of 2001. Michelle and her husband Aaron live in La Crescent and have two girls, Chelby and Sara. She treasures her family play time. She also enjoys gardening and motorcycling with her husband and friends.

David Thesing, Custodian,
is a lifelong resident of La Crescent and has been maintaining Prince of Peace since December 1999. He enjoys doing lawn care, talking about the weather, the Vikings and current events. His interests include football and basketball. He also enjoys collecting football cards of the 1960’s and 1970’s.
