"All of Life" Stewardship
Merciful Father, we offer with joy and thanksgiving what you have first given us...our selves, our time, and our possessions, signs of your gracious love.
Sharing what God has given
Stewardship is the use and responsible management of what God has already given - time, talent, money, resources. The world is God's creation. As caretakers of that creation, we not only use resources but we share them with others.
Free to risk what we value
Made in God's image, we have the capacity for being compassionate, loving, and wise. But we also have tendencies for selfishness, irresponsibility, and pride.
The good news of the gospel rescues us from these tendencies. Its freeing power changes us. We are then able to reach out to others, risking who you are and what you value. Stewardship is actually an adventure of growth in Christ. It provides opportunities to assess what you are doing with the life that God has given you.
Jesus said, "One who finds one's life will lose it, and one who loses one's life for my sake will find it."
Reaching beyond
At Prince of Peace, outreach to the community and beyond are a top priority. While meeting church operating expenses is obviously important, our mission is to follow Jesus' example and respond to needs of the world. The emphasis should be on giving to God and others first, not just to the budget.
People have a need and desire to use their resources to help others. Prince of Peace’s activities and programs provide channels for people of all ages to use their talents and assets. Your gifts are the foundation upon which Prince of Peace’s and God's ministry is built. |
Long
Range Stewardship
It would appear that God and the IRS agree on one thing - we can't take it with us. Therefore, it behooves us to leave it behind where it can do the most good.
Include Prince of Peace in your estate plan
Prince of Peace has been serving members' spiritual needs since 1959. Looking to the future, we encourage members to include the church as beneficiaries in their estate plans.
Estate plans should reflect who you have become during your lifetime. In your financial planning it is natural to remember those who were important to you - families, charities, and Pilgrim.
Long
Range Stewardship
