Evangelism
Our Task
    • Helping outsiders become insiders
    • Helping forgetters become rememberers
    • Helping beloved children become belief-ful adults.

At Prince of Peace we are on a spiritual journey... learning about ourselves, about life and about God. While each person's journey is unique, the faith community is a place for sharing with and encouraging one another as we travel.

Many of the activities at Prince of Peace are what you'd expect to find in a Christian church - worship, education, music, art, outreach, and social events. In all activities, though, there is an underlying energy focusing on personal spiritual growth plus support from new and on-going friendships.

It's about life!
Like its members, Prince of Peace as an organization is on a spiritual journey. We're a large church and we’re growing with new families and single persons of all ages and backgrounds. We're open to the diversity that is part of our God’s good creation. We're striving to be a church that understands the richness and depth that comes from relishing our differences.

You're Invited
Gifts and abilities we would be glad to honor as we journey into 2008
    • Photographers to chronicle some of our events and activities.
    • People who would like to share their talents with our web site.
    • Ideas on making us an even more welcoming place.
    • Persons who would like to make small group happen around an interest of theirs. Examples might be: a book or video discussion group, a dinner event, parent night out group, a hiking group, biking group, a family pot luck group…

Prayer Ministries
Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape
your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Phil. 4:6

Hospital Visits
When you or someone in your family is hospitalized, please be sure that our pastors and parish nurses are notified.  With the shortness of hospital stays, without your help, we may learn of your admission just as your are on your way home.

Our pastors and parish nurses want to be able to visit you and share conversation, support and prayer.  We would also be happy to celebrate Holy Communion with you and your family in the hospital.  Occasionally, it would be more helpful to visit after your stay, once you have returned home.  Just let us know what you would prefer.

Whatever your needs, please continue to keep your pastors and parish nurses "in the loop."  We want to be able to share the love of God in word and action as your and your family meet health challenges.

Bible Reading Resolution?
If bible reading is in your list of New Year's Resolutions consider using the Christ In Our Home devotional guides as a tool to inspire your reading time.  The guides are free and found in the church narthex.  Each week they provide background on the texts that we hear together in worship on the weekend.

Coffee Anyone?
The 2008 Coffee Sign Up Board is in the Narthex waiting for you to sign up for the new year.  Sign up with friends or meet someone new to serve coffee with.  Five dozen treats, a couple pots of coffee, visiting as you serve coffee to fellow parishioners, a little cleanup and that's all there is to it!  The green binder on the kitchen counter has all the tips and hints you need to make it a successful stress free experience.  See you at Coffee!  Lisa Jerviss
