"We are people rooted in the word, inspired by the cross, Making God visible by welcoming, sharing and serving."
Sundays at 9:00 am
AS WE GATHER AND RECEIVING OUR LORD'S SUPPER AT 9:00am SUNDAYS
We believe worship is essential to making God visible so we are committed to providing various opportunities for worship (in-person, online via Facebook and YouTube, through our i-Pad Ministry). Because in-person worship involves activities that pose higher risk of transmission of the coronavirus our indoor worship practices are adapted to reduce risks.
What will worship in our sanctuary be like?
Jesus is at the center and worship will include:
Connecting with God through prayer, including confession and forgiveness
Hearing God’s Word and preaching the good news
Receiving gifts of grace through Holy Baptism and Holy Communion
Praying together for the church, the world and all those in need
Offering our resources for the ministry of Prince of Peace and the greater church.
Because we love our neighbors and worship carries with it the risk of transmission we will refrain from some practices at this time. We will not be:
Sitting close to people not in our “family bubble”
Touching one another in sharing the peace, passing offering plates or sharing food.
Singing together as group
Our Mask Policy
Immunity is not primarily a personal experience, but a collective one. What we really want is not to be personally immune from covid-19, we want to be able to share spaces without risking spreading the disease, or overwhelming the health care system, or harming the vulnerable.
Our council updated our mask policy at their August meeting to read:
“All people will be required to wear a mask in public areas in our building. The church will continue to provide masks for visitors near the doorways. All meetings and groups will wear masks in our building. Vaccinated staff can unmask when in their offices alone. Unvaccinated staff must wear a mask at all times.” Each council meeting we reevaluate our protocols.
